Open spec for resurrecting the HTTP 402 status code as a real payment rail — XMR-first, with provisions for Lightning. Designed for the agentic web: machine-to-machine micropayments that need zero signup and minimal latency. Operator-disclosed: the curator runs this; the protocol itself is permissionless and the spec is open, but read /transparency for context before relying on it for production billing.
